The Young Real Estate Professionals is pleased to welcome Mr. Robert J. Bond, Co-Founder and President of The Bond Companies to speak at our next YREP speaker luncheon on Thursday, April 17, 2008.
Mr. Bond is Co-Founder and President of Bond Companies, a nationally recognized and award winning real estate development and investment firm. Since its inception in 1987, he has been based in othe Chicago office. With its rooms in capital formation for real estate, Bond Companies has evolved into an integrated development company focusing on complex urban infill, infill mixed-use, retail, and residential projects. The principal philosophy focuses on downside yield protection through effective use of risk management in its projects. He oversees the company's development pipeline; which exceeds over $700 million in active projects
Mr. Bond has a Masters in Science in Real Estate Investment Analysis and Appraisal Theory with a concentration in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance and a degree in Economics from the same university. He is an active participant in several professional trade organizations including the Urban Land Institute, International Council of Shopping Centers, and Real Estate Investment advisory council.
Mr. Bond is also a member of the Young Presidents Organization (Chapter president); a member of the Metropolitan Planning Commission; a member of the Visconsi Development Corporation Board of Advisors; and a member of the Board of Trustees for the Wisconsin Center for Real Estate. Mr. Bond is a participant and has an ongoing relationship with Chicago's Principal for a Day program. A frequent speaker on the development process, he also guest lectures at the University of Wisconsin and has presented to the London School of Economics.
